Room Number 1
The English reinterpretation of “Room Number 1” tells a personal story about memory, closeness and a moment that remains.
Available on all major streaming and download platforms since September 1, 2026.
Denny Schönemann does not fit into a single category. He knows the stage, understands audiences and has years of experience behind the camera. That combination shapes an approach that is direct, approachable and unmistakably his own.
The focus here is on Denny Schönemann's music - directly integrated via his official Spotify profile.
The English reinterpretation of “Room Number 1” tells a personal story about memory, closeness and a moment that remains.
The title combines Denny's music with a video production realized in Los Angeles.
The song and music video mark the visible new start on Denny's own artistic path.
A successful release from the period when television work and support for emerging talent were becoming increasingly important alongside Denny’s own music.
His first original single was a decisive step from a well-known tribute performer to an independent musician.
Further titles and current releases are bundled in Denny Schönemann's official Spotify profile.
Denny's path leads from big stages to his own songs and behind the camera. The most important stations are arranged chronologically here and can be selected directly.
There are artists who are on the stage and there are those who create the stage. Denny Schönemann does both. He's more than just a singer or a filmmaker; He is a visual storyteller with an unerring feeling for the moment when music and image merge into an irresistible unity.
Through his company Star Promotion, Denny has become an established creative force behind the scenes of the German Schlager industry. He has developed visual productions for well-known artists including Markus Wohlfahrt of Die Klostertaler, Achim Petry, Jonny Hill and Stefanie Hertel, as well as for many emerging performers.

From 2000 onwards, Denny gained extensive stage experience as a sought-after tribute performer portraying Wolfgang Petry. For international visitors: Petry is one of Germany’s biggest and most enduring Schlager stars; his defining hit era ran from the 1990s into the 2000s, and he remains widely known today.
This time became the foundation of his later work as an independent artist, entertainer and producer.
Every major journey begins with a first step – and Denny’s began by stepping into a well-known role. In 2000 he launched his career with a tribute show devoted to Wolfgang Petry, one of Germany’s most prominent Schlager singers. Petry dominated the German pop and Schlager scene from the 1990s into the 2000s and remains famous today. As one of the most frequently booked Petry tribute performers in the German-speaking world, Denny played town squares and festival marquees, entertained tens of thousands and learned live entertainment from the ground up.
But as the audience cheered, a realization grew within him: Denny no longer wanted to just interpret. He wanted to create.
In 2013, Denny made a clear statement as an independent musician with “Ganz egal was kommt, ich bleib’”.
The German version was created with the official permission of Christian Geller and David Hasselhoff and became an important step on his own musical path.
Also linked to this section is the memory of Jana, who played alongside him as a partner in Denny's first single and later died.
With the single “Ganz egal was kommt, ich bleib’” Denny came more to the fore as an independent artist in 2013. It was a risk and at the same time a special milestone: With the official approval of composer Christian Geller and David Hasselhoff personally, Denny wrote the German lyrics to the song “Lonely Days and Lonely Nights”.
Published in three languages, this was more than a title – it was the foundation for everything that came after.
A short report also tells the personal story behind this first original single and the later death of his co-star Jana. A second video preserves her memory: Jana appeared alongside Denny as his on-screen partner in that first single.

From 2016 onwards, television work, support for emerging talent and new creative formats became an increasingly important part of Denny’s work alongside his own music.
With “Lieblingsschlager” and “Lieblingsschlager Award” platforms were created for talents, newcomers and established artists.
Since 2016, Denny Schönemann also produced the TV show “HITS Schlager und mehr” together with Linda Feller until 2020.
With the hit song “Zünd die Sterne an” in 2016, Denny cemented his reputation as a soloist, but he increasingly found his true calling on the other side of the camera. As the creator of the TV format “Lieblingsschlager”, he created a stage for talents and legends alike.
In order to give young artists a real chance, he created the “Lieblingsschlager Award”. This young talent award has developed into a permanent institution and will be awarded again in 2026 to promote the stars of tomorrow.
In 2017, the change became visible as well: the old look disappeared and Denny’s own artistic direction came clearly into focus.
The music video and the interview document this moment as a conscious step into a new artistic phase.
The year 2017 marked a decisive break. The long hair came off and the former Wolfgang Petry tribute look became part of the past. With “Die Zeit heilt alle Wunden”, Denny presented himself as an independent artist: authentic, mature and more internationally minded than ever.
The interview video shows this change particularly directly: you see the haircut and at the same time get a personal insight into Denny's thoughts on this phase.
Denny doesn't think in terms of boundaries, but in images. In 2019 he made the music video for his single “Hollywood” in Los Angeles.
Special productions followed later, including Hansy Vogt and Marianne Cathomen on the private island Tagomago. Between 2019 and 2024, Denny made several video productions with Marianne Cathomen and other artists in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Today Denny combines his experience as an artist with the perspective of a producer who knows what makes music visible.
Since 2024 he has also been more active musically again and is working on new, modern and danceable Schlager songs.
Today, Denny Schönemann is, above all, a partner for artists who knows how the business works. For him, producing music videos is not just a service, but rather a matter of the heart.
“This is my main work – and it will remain so until the last day.”
His own passion for music is still very much alive. Since 2024, Denny has been back in the studio regularly and has released several new singles that reflect his musical direction: modern Schlager with a strong danceable pulse.
In 2025, Denny Schönemann took first place in the “Best Music Video” category at the 43rd German Rock and Pop Prize for the music video for “Erst ein Cappuccino” produced in Mallorca together with the artist Anuschka Miccoli.
Anuschka's song "Du bist da" also reached number 1 - the accompanying video also came from Denny Schönemann.
“Music lives from real moments – and that’s exactly what I want to convey with my voice and my work.”
Experience as an entertainer, closeness to the audience and a real understanding of live moments.
Creative concepts, strong staging and a confident eye for professional appearances.
Today Denny's focus is on professional video and media production. More on this starpromotion.net.

„I don’t miss you, I miss the woman I thought I knew.“
„I Don’t Miss You“ ist seit dem 1.

Original English song lyrics
It’s been so many years since I last saw your face,
Still one thought of you takes me back to that place.
The butterflies rise like they did at the start,
No woman has ever stayed this deep in my heart.
I don’t miss you,
I miss the woman I thought I knew.
The one who made my whole world shine,
Though she was never truly mine.
We said goodbye,
Though there was never a you and I.
And after all these years, it’s true:
I miss the dream I had of you.
You were already taken, I knew from the start,
But hope kept on painting your name on my heart.
We never were lovers, yet somehow we broke,
I lived on a promise you never once spoke.
I don’t miss you,
I miss the woman I thought I knew.
The one who made my whole world shine,
Though she was never truly mine.
We said goodbye,
Though there was never a you and I.
And after all these years, it’s true:
I miss the dream I had of you.
Then time showed me sides I had never once seen,
And shattered the picture of who you had been.
So maybe I’m longing for someone untrue—
Not the woman you are, but my version of you.
I don’t miss you,
I miss the woman I thought I knew.
The one who made my whole world shine,
Though she was never truly mine.
We said goodbye,
Though there was never a you and I.
And every day, one thing stays true:
I miss the dream I had of you.
No, I don’t miss you—
I miss the woman I saw in you.
